The Hartford is seeking a REMOTE Paralegal to support 9 Tort Attorneys in our Pennsylvania Staff Legal offices. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-volume, paperless environment and enjoy drafting and organizing large discovery materials and court documents.

Qualifications include 5+ years as a Legal Assistant in insurance defense, 1 year trial prep, and strong communication skills. Proficiency with case management software and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a paperless insurance defense or corporate environment.
• Minimum 1 year of trial preparation experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong ability to organize large volumes of documents during discovery, motion, and trial prep.
• Experience in high-volume litigation with document production and data maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Draft discovery responses, pleadings, motions, affidavits, and related documents.
• Assist with deposition summaries and exhibit preparation for trials.
• Collaborate with Attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel via phone and email.
• Maintain a high-volume, paperless workflow and calendar management.
• Support PIP staff with typing and document filing.
• Follow up with clients for information needed to respond to discovery and signatures on verifications.
