Iconma Portal is seeking a Paralegal 1 for its Detroit, MI/Remote location. You will support attorneys with drafting summonses, complaints, motions, and subpoenas, under supervision in a fast-paced legal team.
Responsibilities include legal research, organizing case files, attending interviews and depositions, and assisting with records collection. Strong communication, detail-orientation, and the ability to work independently are essential for success.
Formación
- Verbal and written communication skills required.
- Attention to detail and strong customer service.
- Ability to work independently and manage time.
- Basic knowledge of laws, court procedures, and regulations.
- Experience with Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Responsabilidades
- Prepare legal papers such as summonses, complaints, motions under supervision.
- Review legal journals and assist with legal research.
- Assist new lawyers in documents preparation for submission to courts.
- Assist attorneys in collecting employment, medical, and other records.
- Attend client interviews, hearings, or depositions, and take notes.
- Organize and maintain law libraries, documents, and case files.
- Prepare and process legal documents such as subpoenas, complaints, motions.
