Job summary

PJI Law, a boutique, busy law firm in the Washington, DC area, seeks a Paralegal/Drafter to work full-time remotely from South Africa. Training will be provided; experience in the legal field is preferred but not required.

Primary duties include drafting estate planning documents and ensuring perfect formatting for review and printing. You would work about 40 hours per week, roughly 9:00 am–6:00 pm Eastern Time, and while this role is remote from South Africa, strong attention to detail and

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to closely follow established policies and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, including impeccable spelling and grammar.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to learn new software and technology.
• Ability to go the entire workday without checking Facebook/Instagram/etc.
• Experience in the legal field (estate planning and/or document drafting) is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Drafting estate planning documents for the firm’s clients using drafting software.
• Ensuring documents are perfectly formatted and finalized for review and/or printing.
• Assisting with various other aspects of the preparation and completion of estate plans, as needed.
• Liaising with the firm’s estate planning team regarding various issues to ensure the firm’s continued quality service and efficiency.
• Time-permitting, secondary duties in this position would involve assisting the legal team with various case-related support.
