Job summary

The Assurant Internship Program is a 12-week immersive experience where interns tackle real business challenges and help drive meaningful outcomes. As a Product Analyst Intern, you will support efforts to shape voluntary homeowners and condo insurance products, analyzing performance, trends, and opportunities.

You will turn data into clear reports and recommendations, collaborate with Product Management, Actuarial, Underwriting, Sales, and Technology, and gain exposure to the product lifecycle

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field with expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2029.
• Interest in product analysis, business analysis, data analysis, market research, insurance, or product development.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and collaborate with others.
• Previous professional experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with analyzing product performance, profitability, customer needs, and market trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Turn data into clear reports, visualizations, and insights for team members and business partners.
• Conduct competitive and market research to support product decisions.
• Support the development of business requirements, user stories, workflows, and product documentation.
• Gain exposure to product changes throughout the development lifecycle, including planning, QA, regulatory filing, implementation, and post-launch analysis.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Actuarial, Underwriting, Sales, and Technology teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve products, reporting, and team processes.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to assigned projects.
