Job summary

Athletic Greens is seeking a seasoned Packaging Engineer to own end-to-end packaging development for a fast-growing health nutrition brand. This remote US-based contractor role involves PLM spec creation, dieline validation, and cross‑functional execution across primary, secondary, and component packaging.

You will partner with suppliers, Regulatory, Quality, and Procurement to maintain accurate data, drive efficiency, and ensure packaging compliance while optimizing cost and shelf stability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on packaging engineering experience in a cGMP or equivalent setting.
• Experience with primary and secondary packaging development for consumer products.
• Strong knowledge of FDA packaging labeling requirements and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain packaging specs in PLM systems across multiple SKUs and categories.
• Review dielines, materials, data sheets, and BOMs for new and revised packaging components.
• Coordinate with copackers, film suppliers, and printers for dieline confirmation and qualification.
• Support sustainability initiatives including recyclability and FSC considerations.
• Lead cross-functional communication with Sourcing, Regulatory, Quality, PD, and 3PL teams.
