Performance Health is seeking a Manager of Global Packaging to lead a diverse team in Akron, OH. The role balances people leadership with hands-on project delivery, driving packaging design, regulatory compliance, and supplier management to support global products.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with Product, Sourcing, RA/QA, and Manufacturing while advancing packaging initiatives across EU and US markets, focusing on quality, cost, and on-time launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science is required.
• Minimum 7+ years in packaging engineering, development, or operations.
• At least 3+ years of leadership or people management experience.
• Experience managing global suppliers and packaging sourcing initiatives.
• Strong cross-functional project management across manufacturing, product management, sourcing, and RA/QA.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO 13485, MDR) and design controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex packaging design projects from conception to delivery across multiple initiatives.
• Coach and mentor a team of engineers, co-ops, and interns with performance reviews and goals.
• Coordinate work across Packaging, Product, and Graphics Engineering roles for alignment.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost reductions, and packaging standardization.
• Ensure documentation, BOMs, and regulatory files meet company and customer requirements.
• Partner with Sourcing, RA/QA, and Manufacturing to enable successful product launches.
