Job summary

Fairweather is seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to deliver high-quality medical care in Alaska’s remote locations. Rotational schedule two weeks on/two weeks off, with options for regular or fill-in positions, and housing provided on rotation.

As an on-site provider, you’ll diagnose and treat acute illnesses, provide occupational medicine, manage emergencies, coordinate MEDEVAC, perform point-of-care tests, and maintain records while working with a support medical

Qualifications

• Licensed PA or NP eligible to practice in Alaska.
• National certification (NCCPA for PA or NP certification).
• Active DEA registration.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 3+ years of experience in family medicine, internal medicine, urgent care, emergency medicine, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries.
• Provide occupational medical care.
• Assess and stabilize medical emergencies and trauma.
• Coordinate patient transport and MEDEVAC when necessary.
• Perform point-of-care laboratory testing, ECGs, and other diagnostics.
• Prescribe and dispense medications within scope of practice.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and required occupational health documentation.
• Participate in site safety, emergency response, and medical preparedness activities.
