YKHC is seeking an Itinerant Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide primary, urgent, and preventive care across rural Alaska village clinics. The role includes float coverage to Bethel-area clinics, with emphasis on comprehensive family medicine, obstetric and prenatal care, and emergency procedures.
The position requires a PA or NP board-certified credential, Alaska license, and active DEA and national certification, plus experience in outpatient settings and mentoring health
Qualifikationen
- PA/NP must have completed an approved Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Training Program and licensure.
- Minimum four years of experience in Outpatient Clinic environments; family practice, routine and emergency/urgent care, chronic care.
- Experience with adults, pediatric, OBGYN and prenatal care.
- Suturing, splinting and emergency procedures experience preferred.
- Alaska License, DEA license, and national certification required.
- Proficient in using computerized medical records and basic computer skills.
- Ability to supervise and mentor NP/PA students and oversee community Health Aide clinical practice.
