Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking an Outpatient Coding Auditor to implement and maintain a compliant outpatient coding and reimbursement plan. The role supports the Coding Manager with outpatient and emergency coding services and the development of related policies.

You will educate staff on ICD-10-CM guidelines, CPT/HCPCS guidelines, and outpatient surgery coding conventions while contributing to quality review and process improvement. This is a remote role with eligibility to work in listed states.

Qualifications

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification required.
• Minimum 4 years of ICD-10 coding in an acute care setting.
• At least 2 years of APC coding audits experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain a compliant outpatient coding plan and processes.
• Assist Coding Manager with outpatient and Emergency Coding Services and policies.
• Educate staff on documentation requirements and coding conventions.
• Review quality audits and coordinate with PFS to resolve requests.
