Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience with health insurance or healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills mandatory.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, produce accurate work on time, and use standard software tools.

Responsibilities

• Complete all aspects of the insurance pre-authorization process within required timeframes.
• Apply CPT codes for planned outpatient services and provide codes and docs to payors.
• Prioritize and procure all required authorizations before service to reduce cancellations.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on payor authorization requirements and timelines.
