Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a health care financial setting.

Responsibilities

• Verifies insurance eligibility and creates pre-service liability estimates.
• Submits ICD/CPT codes and relevant medical records with authorization requests.
• Secures prior authorizations for outpatient imaging and scheduled services.
• Acts as liaison between payer and clinic schedulers/medical staff.
• Follows up on delayed or denied requests and documents the paper trail.
