FirstEnergy Corp. is seeking an Operational Technology (OT) Engineer to support EMS and DMS in a hybrid work setting with on-site days as needed. The role requires strong power systems knowledge and hands-on experience with networked control systems.

You will collaborate with control centers, engineering teams, and OT staff to ensure reliability, real-time performance, and secure data exchange across FE's transmission and distribution networks.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BSEE or PE license required or equivalent electrical engineering degree with advanced EE study.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work with diverse teams.
• Detail-oriented, able to prioritize, and manage multiple tasks to deadlines.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call 7x24 as needed.
• Experience with power delivery or SCADA environments is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide maintenance and support for EMS and DMS network applications.
• Offer technical leadership for advanced power system applications.
• Manage software configurations, interfaces, and system documentation.
• Coordinate modeling changes and testing per department procedures.
• Support real-time operations and dispatcher training simulators.
• Collaborate across OT, operations, and engineering functions.
