Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp. is seeking an OT Engineer to support EMS and DMS applications within its Transmission or Distribution Control Centers. Work with a team of analysts and engineers to ensure real-time reliability across FE’s power grid.

The role involves maintaining network toolsets, providing technical leadership, and coordinating modeling changes. A flexible schedule allows remote work with 1–2 days on-site weekly.

Qualifications

• BSEE from ABET accredited institution required; PE license or equivalent allowed.
• Alternative: BSEE or electrical engineering tech ABET with advanced degree.
• Experience with MS Office and ability to interpret technical information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support EMS and DMS network toolset including state estimator and powerflow.
• Provide technical leadership for advanced power system applications.
• Coordinate modeling changes and perform system documentation and training.
