Zusammenfassung

Cable One is seeking an OSP Designer II to create cost-effective broadband system designs using CAD/GIS tools, supporting engineering, operations, and construction while upholding Cable One standards. This role allows remote work for qualified candidates in specified states.

You will design new and existing HFC plant extensions, perform base drafting, update as-builts, prepare complete design packets, and learn new software as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum two-year degree or equivalent with five years of related experience; outside plan design, construction, or GIS experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GIS applications such as ESRI and Schneider design software per Cable One standards.
• Understanding of cable design and HFC/fiber symbology.
• Familiarity with telecommunications outside plant equipment, design and construction techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Design new and existing HFC plant extensions.
• Perform base drafting.
• Read walkout information accurately.
• Update as-builts as construction is completed and releases the area.
• Provide complete construction build packet with full design deliverables.
• Learn new software and adapt to new technology as required.
• Create fiber splicing matrices and Lightpath circuits.
• Ensure fiber availability and reinforcement requirements.
• Design major plant upgrades and perform undesigns/redesigns.
• Prioritize multiple projects with accuracy.
• Support company values and initiatives.
