Job summary

SpaceXSI is seeking a linguistics-focused annotator to train Grok’s Oromo voice and language capabilities. You will label multilingual audio, translate UI content, and help shape pronunciation, prosody, and cultural nuance.

Remote role across the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. Positions may be full-time or part-time as fixed-term contracts of 6 months, with potential extensions. Visa sponsorship is not provided; travel to SpaceXSI sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Oromo at CEFR C1 level or higher.
• English proficiency at CEFR B2 level or higher.
• Native proficiency in Oromo is preferred.
• English proficiency at CEFR C1 level or higher is preferred.
• Experience in transcription or audio annotation and translation/localization is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Annotate, label, and provide feedback on multilingual audio clips and speech samples.
• Translate and localize text from English into Oromo with accuracy and natural phrasing.
• Produce clear, natural audio data capturing linguistic details like intonation and rhythm.
• Collaborate with technical staff to refine annotation guidelines and tools.
