Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA Lead to drive on-premises to AWS migrations for Oracle databases. The role focuses on rehost patterns, RAC configurations, and high-availability setups with AWS EC2, RMAN, Data Pump, GoldenGate, and Data Guard.

You will lead end-to-end migrations, perform discovery and assessment, build target architectures, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and provide post-go-live hypercare and knowledge transfer to steady-state support.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on Oracle DBA experience including migration responsibilities.
• Experience migrating Oracle DBs from on-prem to AWS or cloud.
• Hands-on with RMAN, Data Pump, Data Guard, GoldenGate.
• Proficient in Oracle RAC and standby configurations.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end migration of Oracle DBs to AWS EC2 with rehost pattern.
• Configure Oracle environments on AWS EC2 including network and storage.
• Plan cutovers, validation, rollback, and post-go-live hypercare.
• Coordinate with AWS, network, security, storage, OS, and business teams.
