Job summary

Ericsson is seeking an Associate Data Center Technician to support equipment installation, operation, and maintenance in hyperscale and enterprise data center environments. This entry-level role develops hands-on skills in staging, cabling, labeling, inventory, and documentation under guidance from experienced colleagues.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or technical training, basic hardware knowledge, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of computer hardware and networking concepts.
• Familiarity with copper and fiber cabling is a plus.
• Strong documentation and data entry skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Willingness to learn and grow in data center operations.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and stage equipment and cabling.
• Perform basic inventory checks against packing lists.
• Assist with rack positioning and prep under senior guidance.
• Install rack accessories and perform rack-and-stack tasks.
• Perform copper/fiber patching per port maps and instructions.
• Route and dress cabling per standards.
• Label racks, ports, and cabling.
• Record serial numbers, locations, and installation records.
• Execute MACD activities under supervision.
• Conduct routine visual inspections and escalate issues.
