Job summary

American Forest Management, Inc. (AFM) is seeking an Operations Analyst in the Pacific Northwest. Reporting to the PNW Region Manager, this role centers on project planning, budgeting, and robust client reporting to support forest operations.

You will assist with collecting information, developing annual budgets from harvest schedules, and creating and distributing periodic client and financial reports. This is a Western Washington based role with flexibility for the Pacific Northwest region.

Qualifications

• Proficient in project management and problem-solving to achieve timely completion of deliverables.
• Strong MS Excel skills with structured data, formulas and templates.
• Experience with Power BI and dashboards.
• Knowledge of Esri ArcGIS and GIS data management concepts.
• Relational database experience; SQL, Postgres, Access; programming in Python or R is a plus.
• Knowledge of forestry operations, forest inventory, growth and yield modeling.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail and precision.
• Excellent time management and communication with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting and organizing information to meet reporting deadlines and prepare client reports.
• Coordinate and facilitate long-term planning, harvest schedules, and merchandizing plans.
• Promote transparency and communication between AFM accounting, technical services, and operations.
• Improve data and business systems and support solutions implementation.
• Develop forest operations and financial data into client reports.
• Develop analytical tools to support forest operations, reporting and decisions.
• Develop annual budgets from harvest schedules and planning platforms.
• Synthesize data from AFM systems for Pacific Northwest client data.
• Support inventory and carbon reporting to clients.
