Job summary

Joby Aviation seeks an Operational Test Remote Pilot to support evaluation of the J208 aircraft with Superpilot autonomy. You will operate the Ground Control Station during remote flight evaluations and work with engineering teams to channel operational data into product updates.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in aviation or engineering with 7+ years of experience, a valid US security clearance, and willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience.
• Experience operating Ground Control Stations (GCS) for Group 3+ uncrewed aircraft.
• Active US Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control the J208 Ground Control Station during human-on-the-loop evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with mission plans, airspace clearances, and ground procedures.
• Demonstrate GCS and autonomous flight capabilities to customers.
• Document system performance and relay feedback to engineering.
• Participate in pre-mission setup, link verification, and post-flight debriefings.
• Travel up to 50% domestically and internationally for deployments.
