Job summary

Killeen ISD is seeking a dedicated Teacher Secondary for the High School Fine Arts program. The role reports to the Principal/Assistant Principal and requires Texas teaching certification and a bachelor’s degree. The teacher will plan and deliver curriculum, assess student progress, and contribute to district initiatives across campuses.

The position emphasizes professional collaboration, classroom management, and ongoing professional development to support student growth and achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Texas teaching certificate is required.
• Language skills: ability to read, analyze, and interpret general periodicals, write reports and present information.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements plans for curriculum program which provides for effective teaching strategies.
• Develops, selects, and modifies instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students.
• Presents subject matter according to guidelines established by Texas Education Agency, Board of Trustees policies, and administrative regulations.
• Employs a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet student needs.
• Plans and supervises assignments for educational aide(s) and/or volunteer(s).
• Maintains regular attendance and manages classroom environment.
• Communicates with students, parents, staff and the community in a positive manner.
