Job summary

Liberty University, Inc. is seeking a Supplemental Instruction Leader to support online sections, collaborating with the Director of Online Tutoring Services. The role focuses on leading online SI sessions, creating engaging activities, and applying course-specific study strategies to boost student success.

Ideal candidates are LU students (undergrad or grad) with strong communication skills and a track record of reliability and tutoring experience; a letter of recommendation is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a current LU undergraduate or graduate student.
• A in the course you wish to tutor.
• GPA of at least 3.0.
• Letter of recommendation from the instructor of the course(s).
• Previous tutoring experience.
• A in each course you wish to tutor.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple online SI sessions each week with interactive student discussions (40%).
• Create interactive activities to engage students (40%).
• Incorporate study strategies to maximize progress (10%).
• Attend orientation, trainings, and meetings with Tutoring Services (5%).
• Complete SI-related administrative duties (5%).
