Job summary

Terrestris seeks an Adjunct Faculty Instructor NAV104 for the U.S. Navy Community College. This remote, 1099 contractor role requires teaching up to two courses per term, with an eight-hour weekly commitment across ten weeks for Fall I, August 10 to October 4, 2026.

You will deliver undergraduate online courses, use Blackboard LMS, and provide timely feedback and progress reports. Strong military/government experience and advanced degrees are preferred.

Qualifications

• Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Relevant military or government experience related to the course subject.
• Experience teaching at the collegiate level in online environments (LMS).
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline; Doctorate preferred.
• Minimum 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline; prior college teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Attend onboarding and course orientation.
• Teach online asynchronous courses per USNCC policies and syllabi.
• Deliver instruction via Blackboard LMS with provided course materials.
• Grade assignments and provide detailed feedback using rubrics.
• Monitor student progress and identify at-risk students.
• Maintain weekly office hours and respond to inquiries.
• Submit grades and end-of-course reports on time.
