Terrestris is seeking an Adjunct Faculty Instructor NAV104 U.S. National Defense Establishment and Civil-Military Organization for the Fall I semester.

This remote 1099 contractor role involves delivering online, asynchronous Naval Studies and General Education courses to service members, with eight hours weekly across an eight-week term per course. Role emphasizes critical thinking, leadership, and operational readiness aligned with Navy missions.

Qualifications

• Must have authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Experience teaching at the collegiate level in online environments using an LMS.
• Demonstrated expertise in U.S. national security studies, American government and politics, and related fields.
• Minimum 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality online asynchronous instruction to enlisted Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback using rubrics.
• Maintain weekly virtual office hours and flexible sessions as needed.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and end-of-course summaries.
• Ensure all instructional materials comply with USNCC policies and DoN standards.
• Participate in faculty meetings and collaborate with Course Leads and Academic Affairs.
• Monitor student progress and identify at-risk learners for intervention.
• Grade assignments and discussions with detailed feedback.
