Job summary

Stride K12 Alabama Destinations Career Academy (ALDCA) is seeking a highly qualified online Special Education Teacher to deliver content and support students in a virtual setting.

You will monitor progress via the Stride LMS, collaborate with families/learning coaches, and tailor instruction to IEP requirements. This is a full-time, home-based role with occasional travel for state testing and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Active state teaching license required.
• Ability to clear required background check.
• Experience with online teaching platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver course content in an online environment.
• Monitor student progress using the LMS.
• Communicate with parents/learning coaches regularly.
• Adapt lessons to IEPs and required accommodations.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders for student success.
• Travel up to 20% for required events.
