Job summary

Oncology Consultants seeks a skilled NP/PA to provide high-quality virtual oncology care across clinics lacking on-site APP coverage. You will deliver care via telehealth, coordinate with physicians and the care team, and participate in on-call rotations to support ongoing patient needs.

The role emphasizes quality improvement, patient education, and evidence-based practice, with a focus on exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
• Minimum of two (2) years of oncology clinical experience; telehealth experience preferred.
• Active licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the applicable state (Texas).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality virtual oncology care for patients across assigned clinics lacking on-site APP coverage.
• Conduct virtual infusion coverage, urgent care visits, follow-up appointments, and APP-led initiatives.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, manage oncology-related symptoms, and coordinate care with supervising physicians.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, laboratory results, and imaging as appropriate.
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions within scope of practice and applicable regulations.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
• Participate in the provider on-call rotation as assigned following credentialing.
