Responsibilities

• Review chemotherapy regimens for medical necessity and pathway adherence.
• Obtain insurance authorization and pre-certifications for chemotherapy services.
• Communicate restrictions or requirements to staff and physicians; provide feedback on documentation and payer issues.
• Maintain knowledge of payer guidelines and state/federal regulations related to coverage and authorization.
• Assist patients by identifying resources and explaining coverage options; uphold confidentiality and HIPAA laws.
