Job summary

OneOncology, LLC is seeking a dedicated role to manage patient insurance requirements and reimbursement processes prior to treatment. You will liaise between clinical staff, physicians, and patient accounting to ensure coverage is secured and patient liability is understood.

The role involves communicating reimbursement needs, educating patients on coverage and estimating out-of-pocket costs, and maintaining accurate records within EMR and related systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Medical insurance background.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness to travel to satellite clinics when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Obtains pre-authorizations for Physician Orders as required by the patient’s insurance carrier.
• Communicates with physician/clinical staff on reimbursement issues and/or pre-certification requirements by the patient’s insurance carriers.
• Coordinates and communicates information requested by Patient Accounting within mandated timeframes.
• Educates patients about insurance coverage and benefits, including deductible, copay and out-of-pocket costs.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation in Electronic Medical Record and Patient Management systems.
