Job summary

Qualifications

• Masters degree in counseling or related field.
• Two years of professional level experience as a counselor.
• Active Tennessee behavioral health license.

Responsibilities

• Counsel clients individually and in family sessions to support change.
• Make internal referrals to IOP if limited progress occurs within 8 weeks.
• Guide clients in developing skills or strategies for dealing with problems.
• Develop and implement SMART treatment plans within 72 hours of intake and update every 4 weeks.
• Maintain client records and progress notes within stated timelines.
• Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
• Evaluate clients' condition based on clinical information.
• Collaborate with staff to develop treatment plans within 2 days of care establishment.
• Refer patients to community resources or specialists as needed.
• Stay updated on counseling developments by reading literature and attending courses.
