Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Madison's Carbone Cancer Center is seeking a Research Nurse Navigator to coordinate clinical trials navigation and patient education. The role helps patients access trial options and guides them through the initial care at UWCCC, working with families, UW Health, and referring providers.

The ideal candidate is an RN with oncology experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• RN license required by start date.
• Previous oncology nursing experience required.
• Previous experience in clinical research preferred.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in recruitment and screening of subjects for clinical studies by conducting physical health assessments
• Serves as main point of contact and liaison to participants, investigators, sponsors, and the research team
• Actively search for clinical trial options for cancer patients
• Provide expertise, training, and guidance to the community, peers, and/or students
• Provides appropriate treatment plan direction and information to study participants
