University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority in Madison, WI, invites applications for an RN Oncology Navigator. This 100% FTE, day-shift position supports cancer care across all phases and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams at UW Health Carbone Cancer Center.

You will assess barriers to care, provide education, and guide families through transitions, with a strong focus on equitable outcomes and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• BSN required for this role.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Wisconsin RN license required; BLS/CPR on hire.
• Oncology certification preferred depending on patient population.

Responsibilities

• Lead in providing comprehensive cancer care for patients and caregivers across all cancer care phases.
• Assess barriers to care, psychosocial and learning needs; advocate for and support patients and families.
• Facilitate transitions of care, provide education and engage in shared decision-making.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings.
• Contribute to continuous quality and process improvement initiatives.

100% FTE, day shift. Monday through Friday between the hours are 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Hours may very depending on the operational needs of the department. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

RN Oncology Navigator to:

• Be a leader in providing comprehensive cancer care for patients and caregivers throughout all phases of cancer care
• Assess patients' barriers to care, psychosocial, and learning needs to advocate for and support patients and caregivers, collaboratively with teams and support services, as we strive to provide equitable care and outcomes for our patients
• Facilitate timely and coordinated transitions of care, provide anticipatory guidance, reinforce patient and caregiver education, provide guidance in the shared decision-making process, and provide mental and emotional support to patients and caregivers through the continuum of cancer care
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings
• Participate in continuous quality and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Required
• Master's Degree in Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field Preferred

Work Experience

• 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in the specific patient population being supported Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Registered Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin Upon Hire Required
• Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
• Applicable Oncology certification based on patient population Preferred
