Job summary

RailWorks Corporation is seeking an OCS Engineer to manage the Overhead Contact System from design through construction, testing and commissioning. This role is a Remote opportunity with travel as needed.

Responsibilities include supervising OCS scope, procurement, installation, testing, and coordination with contractors. Requires 5–10 years in rail projects and strong knowledge of Signal/Train Control; Electrical PE preferred, with MS Office and CAD skills.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in rail projects, Signal/Train Control required.
• Electrical PE preferred; knowledge of current electrical codes and standards.
• Thorough understanding of Signal/Train Control systems used in transit.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; CADD experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
• Analytical, creative problem-solving abilities; transparent communicator.

Responsibilities

• Manage OCS scope, design, procurement, installation, and testing to meet project and customer requirements.
• Oversee OCS subcontractors, billings, change proposals, and project closeout documentation.
• Support Construction Managers with installation plans, drawings, and QA/QC compliance.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of OCS and Traction Power equipment.
• Manage testing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing.
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Promote team discipline, morale, and collaboration.
