Job summary

RailWorks Corporation is seeking an OCS Engineer to manage the Overhead Contact System scope from design through construction, testing and commissioning on our rail projects. This remote role offers travel as needed and the opportunity to influence critical infrastructure work.

You will oversee design, procurement, installation and testing of OCS components, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure QA/QC compliance while maintaining strong client relationships and project schedules.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years' experience in rail projects, Signal/Train Control required.
• Electrical PE preferred; knowledge of current electrical codes and standards.
• Thorough understanding of Signal/Train Control systems used in transit.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; CAD experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
• Analytical, creative problem-solving abilities; transparent communicator.

Responsibilities

• Manage OCS scope, design, procurement, installation, and testing to meet project and customer requirements.
• Oversee OCS subcontractors, billings, change proposals, and project closeout documentation.
• Support Construction Managers with installation plans, drawings, and QA/QC compliance.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of OCS and Traction Power equipment.
• Manage testing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing.
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Promote team discipline, morale, and collaboration.
