Job summary

Ocean Science Trust (OST) is seeking an Institutional Giving Manager to lead grant prospecting, sponsorship development, and full grant-cycle management. This is a part-time, remote role across California with a September 2027 end date and potential extension.

The candidate will collaborate closely with program staff and finance to grow commitments and diversify funding streams for ocean science and STEM initiatives.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years prospecting funders (foundations/corporate).
• 4–5 years forecasting grant revenue and managing a pipeline.
• 4–5 years building proposals and budgets with finance staff.
• Experience with science funding or marine STEM is a plus.
• Demonstrated full grant cycle management for multiple institutional funders.

Responsibilities

• Prospect new foundations and corporate funders aligned with OST programs.
• Build and manage a living grant pipeline; track deadlines.
• Forecast grant revenue and report to leadership.
• Develop sponsorship packages and manage sponsorship fulfillment.
• Maintain CRM and grant-related documents; collaborate with finance and program staff.
