Job summary

Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) seeks an Occupational Safety Consultant 4 to provide professional and technical guidance on safety matters for the Central PDO District and related divisions. The role requires occasional travel and may offer remote work options within Arizona based on business needs and performance.

The position supports agency safety programs, compliance with OSHA standards, and the development of safe work practices across ADOT while promoting a culture of safety

Qualifications

• OSHA regulations and interpretations.

• Hazards in maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis; assist management with corrective actions.
• Conduct safety visits and inspections of ADOT facilities and projects; recommend improvements to reduce injury risk and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Develop, maintain and present safety training; communicate safety procedures and conduct meetings.
• Determine potential problem areas and provide guidance on safety procedures; document safety findings and actions.
