Job summary

This position provides professional and technical guidance on safety matters to management and other employees of ADOT. The position has primary responsibility for all agency employees and operations within the Central PDO District (Central Arizona) and supports all divisions as needed.

It may require driving, and occasional overnight travel out of state. This role may offer remote work within Arizona based on business needs and performance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety codes.
• Ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them.
• Experience in safety program development and training.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Conduct safety visits and inspections; recommend improvements.
• Develop, maintain and present safety training materials.
