Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking a Specialty Physician Coder (OBGYN) to review and accurately code office, hospital, and surgical/procedures for reimbursement. You will ensure accurate and compliant medical coding for inpatient and outpatient services, while collaborating with the Coding Compliance Manager on trends and improvement actions.

Qualified candidates bring CPC/CCS, 3 years hospital/physician coding, and strong ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS knowledge, with Epic and Microsoft skills; experience in

Qualifications

• 3 years' hospital or physician's office coding experience.
• 1 year specialty coding in OB/GYN or listed specialties.
• Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Epic software experience is highly desired.
• Proficient Microsoft skills.

Responsibilities

• Code office, hospital, and surgical/procedures using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS.
• Review and analyze specialty coding for charge processing.
• Identify denial trends and opportunities for coding improvements.
• Educate providers to maximize coding compliance and reimbursement.
• Prepare and present materials for specialty provider meetings.
