Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Nursing Informatics Specialist to lead informatics activities, align nursing practice with IT strategy, and drive optimization across care delivery systems.

The role requires an RN with 3 years in nursing and 2 years in informatics; a Master's in Nursing or related field is preferred and BCIN certification must be earned within 12 months of hire. Remote work with some travel to offices and entities is expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing, nursing informatics or related field required.
• 3 years as an RN required.
• 2 years in nursing informatics required.
• RN upon hire required.
• BCIN - Board Certified Informatics Nurse within 12 months of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing informatics activities and coordinate with THR’s IT strategies.
• Provide advanced leadership, consultation and coordination for nursing informatics.
• Collaborate with Nursing Leadership and ITS teams to improve patient care using CareConnect and related tech.
• Identify staff education needs and develop training for use of technology and electronic tools.
• Develop and maintain policies related to technology and nursing practice and participate in process improvement teams.
• Present at local, regional and national conferences (e.g., HIMSS, AMIA).
