A Beverly Hills-based plaintiff-side law firm focused on advocating for people and families harmed by negligence is looking for a Nursing Home Litigation Attorney. Their work includes representing vulnerable populations in nursing home abuse and elder neglect matters where strong legal advocacy can make a direct difference in a client's life.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• Plaintiff-side litigation experience with ability to independently manage civil matters.
• Strong legal writing, research, deposition, and case strategy skills.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple litigation matters, deadlines, and priorities.
• Clear and professional client communication, including sensitive situations.
• Ability to work remotely with Pacific Time availability.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing home abuse and neglect cases through investigation, discovery, depositions, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Build persuasive case strategies by analyzing medical records, evidence, expert reports, facility documentation, and applicable regulations.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis to strengthen arguments and strategy.
• Take and prepare for depositions while identifying needed testimony and evidence.
• Maintain clear, compassionate communication with clients and families throughout litigation.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, forensic specialists, medical experts, and consultants on liability and damages evidence.
• Independently manage deadlines, case priorities, documentation, and workflows in a remote practice.
• Move matters toward strong outcomes while maintaining professional judgment, organization, and attention to detail.
• Build long-term expertise within the firm and take on increasing responsibility as caseload grows.
