Job summary

Deep Fission, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Specialist to own day-to-day procurement operations supporting engineering, drilling, and construction programs. You will issue POs, manage lifecycle, track progress, and ensure compliance with contracts and regulatory requirements.

The role involves building supplier networks, evaluating vendors, and supporting RFP/RFI processes when advanced sourcing is required. A remote-first environment with domestic travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, specializing in PO issuance and lifecycle management.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to manage full procurement cycle from PO issuance to close-out.
• Strong negotiation skills with experience in MSAs and contract terms.
• Proficiency with procure-to-pay platforms and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Issue and manage purchase orders for services, equipment, and materials across functions.
• Monitor PO status through delivery, acceptance, invoicing, and close-out; resolve delays and scope changes.
• Administer PO amendments and change orders with project managers and Legal.
• Ensure compliance with company policy, contract terms, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain auditable procurement records and close-out files.
• Support development and issuance of RFPs/RFIs; coordinate bidder questions and evaluation logistics.
• Summarize commercial evaluation results and award recommendations.
