Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services, a subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is seeking a Commissioning Support Engineer to plan, coordinate, and implement commissioning activities for AP1000 nuclear plant systems. This role supports procedures development and turnover documentation, working remotely within the United States with occasional travel.

Reporting to the Commission Manager, you will develop commissioning plans, participate in FAT/SAT, review design documents, and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear or related Engineering.
• US citizen or permanent resident.
• 10 years of experience in nuclear plants or highly regulated industries.
• 3 years of startup testing, system turnover, or outage support.
• Experience with commissioning, system testing, or plant operations.
• Knowledge of nuclear plant systems and ASME/IEEE/NRC standards.
• PE license or EIT certification.
• Read and interpret P&IDs and electrical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and test protocols for nuclear systems and components.
• Develop pre-operational and startup testing, including system turnover packages.
• Support FAT and SAT activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness for commissioning.
• Identify, document, and resolve deficiencies and non-conformances.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear safety standards and regulatory bodies (NQA-1, NRC).
• Review and verify system design documents and drawings.
