Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist for NPI to own sourcing strategy and supplier execution across all NPI phases. This role ensures materials, suppliers, cost models, and risk controls mature in sync with engineering builds and program milestones.

You will drive supplier engagement from early design through mass-production readiness. Core responsibilities include early supplier engagement, should-cost modeling, prototype sourcing, DFSC input, RFQ analysis, supplier

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
3–5+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or NPI supply chain.
3+ years of experience procuring server hardware for NPI.
Strong understanding of EVT/DVT/PVT cycles; able to run RFQs and manage negotiations.

Responsibilities

Own sourcing strategy and supplier execution across all NPI phases.
Drive supplier engagement from early design through mass-production readiness.
Perform should-cost modeling and cost optimization.
Execute quick-turn RFQs for prototype parts and manage supplier cost breakdowns.
Provide manufacturability, lead-time, and cost feedback to engineering.
Lead supplier qualification, audits, and PPAP readiness.
Negotiate pricing and track tooling and NRE deliverables.
