Zekai is seeking a Norwegian Transcription Expert for a 100% remote contractor role. You will transcribe Norwegian audio/video into text with high fidelity, review and edit for accuracy, and annotate speech segments per project guidelines.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native Norwegian proficiency with strong grammar, spelling and punctuation.
• Proven experience in transcription, linguistic annotation, or related language work.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver precise, contextually accurate outputs.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe audio/video from Norwegian into written text with high fidelity.
• Review and edit transcriptions to maintain linguistic and formatting standards.
• Annotate and categorize speech segments per project guidelines.
• Identify and flag unclear audio; provide context or interpretations as needed.
• Collaborate with project coordinators to clarify requirements and ensure consistency.
• Provide feedback on guidelines to improve transcription accuracy and workflow.
• Maintain secure handling of confidential information and data privacy.
