Job summary

SolomonEdwardsGroup, LLC is seeking a CPA‑certified Audit Manager to lead nonprofit audit engagements, provide compliance and advisory services, and mentor staff. This fully remote role follows Eastern Time Zone business hours and aims to minimize overtime while delivering client impact.

Responsibilities include supervising engagements, ensuring GAAP compliance, and guiding internal controls and grant compliance efforts for nonprofit organizations.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of audit experience (public accounting is required).
• Experience auditing nonprofit organizations.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit financial reporting.
• Experience leading engagements and supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage nonprofit client engagements from planning through completion.
• Oversee financial statement audits and audit readiness engagements.
• Review workpapers and ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit reporting standards.
• Advise clients on internal controls, risk mitigation, and process improvements.
• Support federal grant compliance (Uniform Guidance).
• Serve as primary client contact and build long‑term relationships.
• Mentor and supervise senior and staff‑level team members.
• Partner with firm leadership on practice development initiatives.
