Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in accounting or related field required; combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted
• 6+ years of accounting, audit, and/or financial statements experience
• Prior supervisory experience
• Nonprofit Industry experience preferred
• CPA certification or exams passed preferred
• QuickBooks or Intacct experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
• Strong organizational, communication, and client-management skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies
• Evaluate needs for procurement of funds and investment of surpluses and make recommendations
• Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting
• Coordinate and direct financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investment activities for all or part of an organization
• Monitor ratio and key performance indicators (KPI)
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of accounting and other financial staff, recommending actions
• Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions
• Communicate with boards, bankers, investors, constituents; prep/host board presentations
