Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a passionate Registered Nurse to join our Psychiatric Mood Disorders Unit on the night shift (3 x 12-hour shifts, 7:00 pm–7:30 am). This full-time position welcomes acute care RNs excited to work with psychiatric patients and make a positive impact.

Qualifications

• Experience Required: 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing; ADN graduates must complete BSN within 5 years.
• Certification: BLS certification required; Licensure as RN in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs biopsychosocial assessments on patients.
• Provides medications and treatments to patients.
• Serves as a resource for patients and families regarding medical questions.
• Develops plan of care.
• Works with the interdisciplinary team to meet treatment goals.
• Reports to the Clinical Director.
