Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the EmPATH Psychiatric Observation Unit on a night shift. This full-time role features a 3 x 12-hour schedule (7:00 pm to 7:30 am) for acute psychiatric care, with a strong focus on safety, patient structure, and holistic care. The ideal RN brings at least 1 year of clinical experience, BSN, and BLS.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN with ADN must obtain BSN within 5 years of start date.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs biopsychosocial assessments on patients.
• Administers medications and treatments to patients.
• Serves as a resource for patients and families regarding medical questions.
• Develops plan of care.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to meet treatment goals.
• Reports to the Clinical Director.
