Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH is seeking a Night shift Registered Nurse to provide general nursing care to patients and families along the health-illness continuum, collaborating with the health care team and upholding the Ohio Board of Nursing standards. This is a remote position and is not 'work from home'.

This position will be located at an OhioHealth facility centrally located. 12-hour shifts, 36 scheduled hours per week, Unit: Med Surg Unit 2.

Qualifications

• RN with active Ohio Board of Nursing license and BLS certification.
• BLS certification required.
• Remote position description indicates facility-based location with 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Leads team members in solving patient care situations.
• Prioritizes activities and coaches the team to the plan.
• Views patient comprehensively and anticipates discharge needs.
• Consults with interdisciplinary team as appropriate.
• Uses teach-back to ensure patient understanding of care.
• Engages patient in developing and evaluating the care plan daily.
• Includes family in care decisions as appropriate.
• Coordinates interprofessional care for transfer or discharge.
• Implements and updates patient care programs.
• Stays current with new knowledge and unit priorities.
