Job summary

Centurion Health in California is seeking a Residential Counselor to support the FACT program in Fairfield. This full-time night position offers $25.00–$27.50 per hour, weekends/evenings shift differential, and a Tuesday–Saturday schedule from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am.

You will conduct skills-based groups, provide psychoeducation, connect clients with community services, and assist with documentation and medication monitoring.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of mental health experience preferred.
• Community-based mental health experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation.
• Active CPR certification preferred.
• Must have valid California driver’s license; good driving record. Proof of current auto insurance and must meet insurability requirements of Company insurance carrier.

Responsibilities

• Conducts structured skills-based groups for individuals to address coping skills related to time management, goal setting, consequential thinking, stress management, anger management, budgeting, etc., while modeling and teaching appropriate behavior and support.
• Provides psychoeducation for clients who are incompetent to stand trial through one-on-one case management sessions or groups sessions.
• Help clients with connection to important community services (e.g., Medical, Medicare, insurance, volunteer opportunities, school, etc.).
• Provides psychoeducation for individuals and groups to address social skills related to personal hygiene, interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, activities of daily living, job skills, transit usage and recreational skills.
• Support client documentation, medication management, monitoring clients.
• Other duties as assigned.
