Job summary

Centurion Health, through MHM Services, is seeking a Residential Counselor in California to provide community-based support for FACT clients, including structured groups and psychoeducation. The role requires a high school diploma and prefers 1 year of mental health experience, with a CA driver’s license and CPR certification preferred.

The position offers full-time hours with a night shift schedule (Tue–Sat, 11:00pm–7:30am) and a competitive pay rate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of mental health experience preferred.
• California driver’s license with good driving record; CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts structured skills-based groups to build coping skills (time management, goal setting, stress management).
• Provides psychoeducation for clients unable to stand trial via one-on-one or group sessions.
• Connects clients with community services (Medical, Medicare, insurance, volunteering, education).
• Documents client progress and monitors medication management.
• Assists with daily living skills, interpersonal skills, and transportation planning.

Pay Rate: $25.00/hr to $27.50/hr Depending on ExperienceShift Differential for Weekends, Evenings and NightsSchedule: Tuesday through Saturday; 11:00pm to 7:30amMHM Services, a Centurion company, is proud to be the provider of mental health services to the California Department of State Hospitals-Forensic Assertive Community Treatment Program (FACT). The FACT program is a statewide system that provides an unlocked, supervised living environment with 24-hour staffing. FACT's model of care is centralized services with a slow transition to community-based services.Under the direction of the Fact Program Director, the Residential Counselor provides community-based services and monitoring for FACT clients to include judicially committed individuals and mentally disordered offenders.
