Job summary

Centurion Health, through MHM Services, seeks a Residential Counselor to support FACT clients in a community-based setting in California. This role emphasizes supervision, group activities, and treatment objectives for individuals under forensic care.

The position requires a high school diploma, CA driver’s license, and background check clearance, with CPR preferred and prior mental health experience advantageous. Evening/night schedule with weekend coverage is typical.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNAs welcome.
• Minimum of one year mental health experience preferred.
• Community-based mental health experience preferred.
• Must pass background check.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Must have valid California driver’s license with insurability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured skills-based groups to teach coping, time management, goal setting, and stress management.
• Provide psychoeducation in individual or group sessions for competency and treatment planning.
• Assist clients in connecting with community services (Medical, Medicare, insurance, volunteer work, school).
• Address social skills training including personal hygiene, communication, conflict resolution, activities of daily living, and job skills.
• Support documentation, medication monitoring, and overall client supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
